I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where can four-player teams explore or investigate?

Secrets of Roermond starts at Munsterkerk with puzzles and photo tasks through the town. You also pass De Cattentoren and Meisje met Meeuwen. Colleagues guide themselves on a shared phone, offering observations and ideas as they approach the exploration activity together during their walk.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Roermond follows a case from Munsterplein to the cathedral and Rattentoren. Choose it when your colleagues prefer a detective story to discuss during the outing. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Prepare a phone for every team and let everyone help make decisions, rather than relying only on the person handling the screen.

Which outdoor escape choice accommodates five?

The Roermond Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Sint-Christoffelkathedraal, Straatkapel Luifelstraat and Markt. It allows at most five players sharing one phone with the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves through the streets and take the story at their team's pace.

The different limit gives your organiser another way to arrange colleagues into small groups. Everyone can suggest ideas while one person handles the screen, keeping the chase shared around the phone. Choose it when its story fits your outing. Keep rivalry relaxed and prepare a device for every team before gathering so colleagues are ready to follow the chosen walking activity together.

How do we coordinate a larger company outing?

A game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Calculate team numbers within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Every team needs its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.

All teams can start at the same time and compare scores. Choose a story before assigning colleagues so the groups fit its limit, then prepare the phones. You may begin whenever you want on any day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Agree a shared start and allow time for the walk while teams follow the self-guided activity on their own devices.

Can colleagues compare scores?

Yes. Teams can start at the same time and compare their scores, each playing on its own phone.
