I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which places frame your puzzle walk?
Secrets of Wijk Bij Duurstede takes you past the Markt, De Grote Kerk and De Veldpoort on a self-guided walk with puzzles and photo tasks. You use the free Loquiz app to play on your own phone. The surroundings provide a setting while the tasks give your friends something to discuss and do together. Compare different ideas before choosing a response, and let the photo tasks be part of the shared activity too. Each person can help the small team participate, making the first walk of the celebration something you actively share rather than simply a route you follow beside one another.

How can friends play without crowding the screen?
Make teams of at most 4 players and use one phone per team. If your bachelor or bachelorette party includes more friends, arrange several teams so everyone has a small group to follow the game with. You might mix guests who have just met, giving them a puzzle as their first common topic. Keep the screen visible and invite different suggestions before the team decides what to do. Friendly competition can bring the opening activity into focus while sharing the decisions leaves room for everyone. Agree on the teams before beginning so the organiser can join the game with those arrangements already clear.
What timing and cost should you put in the plan?
The game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. You can play daily, start whenever you like and use a booking valid for 12 months. This leaves you flexibility when gathering the friends and deciding how the stag or hen day should begin. Prepare the free Loquiz app on each team’s phone and settle the small groups beforehand. Give the walk its own space in the day, with time for the puzzles, photo tasks and conversations they create. Once everyone is ready, you have a shared opening activity with something for each teammate to contribute to as you explore together.
Which app is needed for the walk?
Use the free Loquiz app on your own phone.

What is the price for each team?
