I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How does the square fit this walking game?
Secrets of Wijk Bij Duurstede passes Markt during a city activity with puzzles and photo tasks. The square is a real destination to appreciate, while the game supplies tasks your group can work on together. You do not need to invent a historical explanation to enjoy reaching the place. Look around before reading the next instruction aloud and let each teammate suggest an approach. A shared activity gives the walk a common purpose between destinations instead of leaving everyone following separate sightseeing plans. Keep the information within your group conversation so the tasks are not only understood by whoever happens to hold the phone while the others wait for decisions.

Which places accompany the Wijk Bij Duurstede route?
De Grote Kerk, Kasteel Duurstede and Mazijk are among the named route stops for Secrets of Wijk Bij Duurstede. With Markt featured here, they give the activity a real city setting. Follow the game for actual progress instead of building an independent interior visiting programme from the names alone. The church remains a real religious destination, so notice it respectfully. Any separate sightseeing visit needs its own arrangements outside the activity. Between puzzles, compare possible answers and invite a different player to suggest an approach to a photo task. The walking gives those discussions room while the tasks connect the group's choices throughout the outing.
What do you need for playing together?
Secrets of Wijk Bij Duurstede takes 1.5 to 2 hours and uses the free Loquiz app. It costs €19.95 per team for at most 4 players sharing one phone. Friends, colleagues or a couple can follow the same information when instructions are read aloud and responses discussed before an answer is entered. Rotate who offers the first suggestion, keeping the shared device as a tool for everyone's participation rather than one person's private activity. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game is valid for 12 months. Choose enough time for walking and solving together, with independent sightseeing visits outside the game's own duration.
