I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How does the detective route reach the city hall?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Munster leads from Überwasserkirche past Kiepenkerl-Denkmal and Domplatz to the city hall. These places give your investigation a sequence of settings as the walk develops. The case provides something to discuss between the stops, connecting your outing beyond a single destination the group plans to see.
No city hall admission or interior visit is specified for the game. If you want an additional visit, plan its time independently alongside the walking activity. At the stop itself, give the real building attention before continuing with the case. Clear expectations help companions understand what the shared day includes and where extra visiting time belongs in your plans.

What does investigating as a team involve?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Munster is self-guided with the free Loquiz app on one phone. Up to four players form a team and compare their theories about the case. The device provides the activity while the group shares the conversation and decisions during the city walk.
Let everyone hear each task before agreeing on an answer. A companion without the phone in their hand may see another possibility worth explaining. You can change who reads or leads the discussion as you go, so one person does not have to manage every decision alone. This helps the investigation remain common to all players throughout the outing.
What exploration alternative can your group choose?
Secrets of Munster offers a separate walk from Domplatz with puzzles and photo tasks in the old town. Choose it if your companions prefer varied activities to a continuing detective case. Select the investigation for the route that includes the city hall and the other places described here.
Both games take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team of up to four players sharing one phone. Both use the free Loquiz app, offer flexible daily starts and remain valid for twelve months after purchase. Compare the formats with your companions, then find a suitable day. Extra time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration.
