I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where can explorers or detective teams walk?

Secrets of Munster starts from Domplatz with puzzles and photo tasks in the old town. Your colleagues guide themselves on a shared phone, contributing observations and ideas as they approach the exploration activity together. Choose it when varied tasks sound like the right opening for your group's city walk.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Munster follows a case past Überwasserkirche, Kiepenkerl-Denkmal and Domplatz. It gives colleagues a detective story to discuss at their own pace. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Prepare a phone for every team and invite everyone to help with decisions rather than leaving the activity only to the screen holder.

Which outdoor escape option allows five people?

The Munster Syndicate (outdoor escape game) starts on Domplatz and follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past St.-Paulus-Dom and St.-Lamberti-Kirche. It allows at most five players sharing one phone with the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves through the outdoor story at their team's pace.

The different team limit gives your organiser another way to divide the group. Everyone can offer ideas while one person handles the screen, keeping the chase shared around the phone. Choose it when an outdoor escape story is the focus your colleagues want. Keep rivalry relaxed and arrange a phone for each team before you gather to begin the chosen walking activity.

How do we coordinate a larger department?

A game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Calculate your team count within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Every team uses its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.

All teams can begin at the same time and compare scores. Choose the story before assigning colleagues so the groups fit its limit, then prepare their phones. You can start on any day whenever you want, and the booking remains valid for 12 months. Agree a shared start and allow room for the walk while each team follows the self-guided activity itself.
