I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which investigation includes St. Emmeram?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Regensburg lists Porta Praetoria, Schloss St. Emmeram, Historisches Museum Regensburg and Neupfarrplatz among its stops. Your team follows a fictional case on foot at its own pace, allowing 1.5 to 2 hours for the activity. The palace is one point in this broader walk while the story gives your companions a common task. Choose it for a detective focus during your city outing. Any independent palace visit can be planned separately around playing. The actual places provide the route and the imagined case supplies the investigation, giving your group something to discuss as you move through the old town together.

How does your team follow the game?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Regensburg uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and is self-guided. One device carries the case, but everyone can help with the reasoning. Read what the screen asks so the person holding it is not the only one who knows the next task. Friends can compare theories, a couple can solve together, and colleagues can share a common activity outdoors. Your group follows the story without a guide leading the walk. Keep independent sightseeing as separate parts of the day so the full playing time stays available for the route and its fictional investigation, with room for everyone’s suggestions.
What does one group pay and when can it play?
The Regensburg game costs €19.95 per team for at most 4 players sharing one phone. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game remains valid for 12 months. Pick a suitable day with your companions and leave room for the whole activity alongside any independent palace plans. Prepare Loquiz on the device your group will use and agree to share the tasks throughout play. That keeps the outing a team experience rather than one person’s activity on the screen. You follow the self-guided case without meeting a guide at a scheduled departure, discussing possible answers and making decisions together as the story progresses.
