I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where does the Regensburg detective case take you?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Regensburg leads you from Neupfarrplatz to the cathedral and the Porta Praetoria through the old town. You follow the case on foot using the free Loquiz app, with the surroundings providing the setting for your fictional investigation. The walk gives colleagues places to notice while the mystery offers a shared problem. Hear what each teammate makes of the information before your group chooses an answer. Another explanation can add a new possibility to consider, keeping the thinking open to everyone. This makes the activity something your small team shares through both exploring and investigating rather than leaving every decision to one person.

How can your work group share the mystery?

Use one phone for each team of at most 4 players; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Decide the groups before beginning, perhaps mixing colleagues who do not usually work alongside one another. The case offers a common topic immediately. Keep the screen accessible and invite more than one suggestion before choosing your response together. Comparing scores gives the wider group something to talk about after the game, while shared decisions within each team leave room for all your colleagues during play. The phone holder can investigate alongside the others, so the detective work remains part of the whole small group’s activity throughout the walk.

What should the organiser plan before starting?

Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours at €19.95 per team; larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. The game is available daily, you can start whenever you like and the booking is valid for 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones and settle who plays together before beginning. Choose a starting moment that lets colleagues gather, then give the walk a dedicated space in your outing plans. That leaves time for exploring and discussing possible answers without rushing the case. Once everyone is ready, the investigation supplies a shared task, with scores to compare after the teams have played together.

Which app is required?

Use the free Loquiz app on your own phone.

How many share one team?

At most 4 players use one phone per team.

Can teams start at once?

Yes. All teams can start at the same time and compare their scores.

What should a larger group do?

Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. The game costs €19.95 per team.
