I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

Where does the cathedral fit into the old-town route?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Regensburg leads from Neupfarrplatz to the cathedral and Porta Praetoria. These real settings give your group places to see while the fictional case provides a common problem. The cathedral becomes part of a walking exploration, with its real purpose distinct from the detective story you follow together.

Give the building a moment of attention before returning to the next instruction on your phone. Seeing a sight along a route and arranging an independent visit are different plans. Leave additional sightseeing time alongside the activity so your group has room for walking and solving without including every other visit inside the same playing duration.

What are the cost and starting arrangements?

The Regensburg game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. One phone serves at most 4 players. Decide on your shared device and companions before beginning, and allow space for walking as well as discussing the challenges. Additional visits can have separate time around the activity in your day.

You can begin whenever you want, every day, within a validity period of 12 months. Pick when the outing suits your group and your visit to Regensburg. Open the app ready to join the case together, giving the investigation time of its own while the real settings on the route offer something to notice between the questions as you continue exploring on foot.

How do you keep the case a shared activity?

You solve riddles and photo tasks in the free Loquiz app on one phone during the Regensburg activity. The game is self-guided, without an accompanying guide leading your group. Read each instruction where everyone can hear it and compare the suggestions before choosing an answer together.

A partner may interpret a challenge another way, while friends or colleagues can offer different approaches. Let those ideas move around the conversation even if one player carries the device throughout. The phone holder can share the question without making every decision, keeping the fictional case open to everyone while the real surroundings provide more to notice between its challenges than only the next solution on the screen.
