I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where can teams of four explore or investigate?
Secrets of Groningen follows a puzzle walk from Grote Markt past the Martini Tower, A-kerk and Vismarkt. Colleagues guide themselves on a shared phone, offering observations and ideas as they approach the exploration tasks together. Choose it when seeing the city through activities sounds like the right focus for your outing.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Groningen follows a case from Grote Markt under Martinitoren to Der Aa-kerk. It gives colleagues a detective story to discuss during a self-guided walk. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Prepare a phone for every team and invite everyone to help with decisions rather than relying only on the screen holder.

Which outdoor escape game fits five colleagues?
The Groningen Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Stadhuis Groningen, Martinitoren and Martinikerkhof. It allows at most five players sharing a phone with the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves through the streets and take the outdoor story at their team's pace.
That limit gives your organiser another way to divide colleagues into small groups. Everyone can suggest ideas while one person handles the screen, keeping the chase shared around the phone. Choose it when its story fits your outing. Keep competition friendly and prepare each team's device before gathering so colleagues are ready to begin the walking challenge and follow the activity together.
How do we coordinate the team budget and start?
Each game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Count teams within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Every team uses its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.
All teams can start at the same time and compare scores. Choose the story first, assign colleagues within its limit and prepare their devices. You can begin whenever you want, every day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Agree a shared start and allow time for the walk while teams follow the self-guided activity on their own phones.
Can colleagues start together?
Yes. Teams can begin at the same time and compare scores, each using its own phone.
What can five people play as one team?
The Groningen Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows at most five players per team. The other games allow four.
Do all the choices need an app?
Yes. Each game uses the free Loquiz app on your own team phone.
Where can a larger department request a quote?
Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.
