I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What does the exploration activity include?
Secrets of Verviers combines puzzles and photo tasks with a walk past Sainte-Julienne Church and Grand Théâtre de Verviers. It runs in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed, and allows at most four players per team. Your friends can share observations while guiding themselves through the exploration activity together.
Choose this option when varied tasks sound right for the start of your day. One person handles the screen, but everyone can offer ideas and help decide what to do next. Follow the walk at your own pace and keep the conversation open to the whole team. For a larger celebration, arrange several small groups with their own phones, so all your friends can take part within the player limit.

Where can a detective team follow a case?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Verviers follows a detective story from Place du Marché to the Perron. The route also passes Hôtel de Ville de Verviers. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and allows at most four players per team, following the self-guided walk at your own pace.
Pick this story when your bachelor or bachelorette group would rather investigate together. Decide which friends will share each team phone and encourage everyone to suggest ideas during the activity. Keep competition relaxed as the detective case gives the celebration a common focus. There is no guide leading the group or making its next decisions, so your team works through the story and discusses how to proceed together throughout the walk.
How do we arrange bookings and our beginning?
Each Verviers game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. At most four players share one team phone, so calculate how many teams your guests need before booking. A larger party requires several bookings and devices within that player limit.
You can begin whenever you want, every day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Choose the exploration activity or detective case first, assign friends and check the phone setup. The exploration game runs in a browser, while the mystery uses an app. Agree a start together and leave enough time for the walk within your plans. These self-guided games let your group organise its own beginning and follow the chosen story together as the celebration gets underway.
