I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where do the exploration and mystery walks lead?

Secrets of Dusseldorf starts on Grabbeplatz and leads past St. Andreas with puzzles to solve. The walk gives your team a reason to look around and discuss its next move together. You follow the game yourselves on one phone rather than joining a guided departure.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Dusseldorf offers a detective story from Grabbeplatz through the Altstadt to Ratinger Tor. Friends can work through the case while walking at their own pace. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Choose which kind of shared challenge fits your party, then arrange the teams around that player limit.

Which outdoor story lets five people join a team?

The Dusseldorf Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas with at most five players on one team phone. The route passes Mutter-Ey-Straße, St. Andreas and Mühlenstraße. You use the free Loquiz app to follow the activity through the streets at your team's pace.

A bachelor or bachelorette group can choose this option when an outdoor chase sounds like the right start to the celebration. Use the five-player maximum to plan your team arrangements before booking. Each team needs its own phone, while all its players can contribute to the discussion. Keep things light as friends compare ideas and make decisions together throughout the self-guided walking story.

How do we fit the activity into our plans?

Each Dusseldorf game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Teams have one phone and contain at most four players for exploration or detective play, or five for the outdoor escape game. If more friends are attending, arrange additional teams and calculate the total from those bookings.

You can start whenever you want, every day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Agree on the game before assigning friends to teams, and prepare a phone for each group. Leave a clear space for the walk in your stag or hen programme. The self-guided format means you choose the beginning of the activity and follow it together without a guide.

Can a hen group choose this activity?

Yes. A hen or bachelorette group can play these city games in small teams.

Which walks begin at Grabbeplatz?

Secrets of Dusseldorf starts on Grabbeplatz. Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Dusseldorf also follows a route from Grabbeplatz.

What phone preparation is needed?

All three games use the free Loquiz app on your own phone.

Is the price per guest?

The price is €19.95 per team within the selected game's player limit, using one phone.
