I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

How does the puzzle route reach the fountain?

Secrets of Dusseldorf begins at Grabbeplatz and takes you past St. Andreas and Basilika St. Lambertus to the fountain and Marktplatz. These places give the exploration different settings while puzzles provide something for your companions to share. The fountain is one part of a broader walk rather than the only destination for the day.

Take a moment to notice the real setting before reading onward. Companions may see different things, and a short exchange can make the stop feel shared. You can then return to the tasks together, keeping the city present alongside the activity rather than concentrating only on the screen as the route connects places on foot.

Which outdoor escape mission also passes this stop?

The Dusseldorf Syndicate (outdoor escape game) includes Mutter-Ey-Straße, St. Andreas, Mühlenstraße and the fountain among its stops. You follow Magnus and the stolen formulas through the streets, giving your group a continuing pursuit instead of exploration puzzles. Choose the activity style your companions would most enjoy discussing as they walk.

The street mission permits up to five players on one phone, while the puzzle activity allows four. Both use the free Loquiz app. Let everyone hear each task and offer an approach before choosing an answer. Reading and discussing can change hands during the outing, so the device holder does not carry every decision alone and the activity stays shared.

What should your team arrange before playing?

Both games take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team. Both offer flexible daily starts and remain valid for twelve months after purchase. Compare group size and activity style with your companions, then choose a suitable date and prepare the free Loquiz app on the phone your team will share.

Decide whether the game will be the main outing or part of a longer city day. Extra time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration. With that common plan, everyone can arrive ready for the selected activity, giving the fountain and the other real route settings attention between the decisions that carry your walk through the city.

Do both routes include the fountain?

Yes, it is listed in both activities.

Which game permits five players?

The Syndicate outdoor escape mission allows five per team.

Do both activities use an app?

Yes, both use the free Loquiz app on one shared phone.

Is there a fixed departure?

No, both games offer flexible daily starts.
