I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which exploration route begins at Grabbeplatz?

Secrets of Dusseldorf starts on Grabbeplatz and leads past St. Andreas with puzzles to solve. The route also takes you past Basilika St. Lambertus. At most four colleagues share one phone using the free Loquiz app. You guide yourselves through the activity and can discuss different approaches as you walk. Choose this exploration game when varied city tasks sound right for your outing. Everyone can help with decisions, making the challenge a shared activity rather than one person's work on the screen.

Where can our detective team investigate?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Dusseldorf follows a case from Grabbeplatz through the Altstadt to Ratinger Tor. It uses the free Loquiz app on one phone, with a maximum of four players per team. Colleagues can discuss the mystery while guiding themselves through the walk at their own pace. Pick this option when investigating together is the focus your group wants. Arrange a phone for every small team and invite everyone to bring ideas to the discussion during the detective activity.

Which outdoor escape story allows five players?

The Dusseldorf Syndicate (outdoor escape game) takes teams after Magnus and the stolen formulas past Mutter-Ey-Straße, St. Andreas and Mühlenstraße. It allows at most five players sharing a phone with the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves through the streets, following the story at their own pace. Its player limit gives your organiser another way to divide the group into small teams. Keep rivalry relaxed, make room for different approaches and let the chase provide a shared focus for the outing.

How do we coordinate the start and bookings?

A game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Plan teams within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape option, and prepare one phone per team. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. All teams can begin at the same time and compare scores. You can start whenever you want on any day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Select your game, assign colleagues and agree a shared start with room for the walk.
