I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

Which detective route passes the museum?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Dusseldorf includes Deutsche Oper am Rhein, then the museum, Johanneskirche and Schadowstraße station among its stops. The route gives your investigation different settings as you explore. Your group has a continuing case to work on rather than only one destination to visit and leave.

No museum admission or exhibition visit is specified for the game. If you want an additional museum visit, plan it independently alongside the walking activity. At the stop, give the real setting attention before reading onward. Clear expectations help companions with different interests understand what the shared day includes and where extra visiting time belongs in the rest of your plans.

What does the team do with one shared phone?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Dusseldorf is self-guided through the free Loquiz app on one phone. Up to four players can form a team and compare their thoughts on the case. The device provides the game, while your companions share the conversation and decisions along the walk.

Make sure everyone hears each instruction before settling on an answer. Someone without the phone in their hand may have another theory worth explaining. You can change who reads or leads the discussion during the outing. This helps all players remain part of the investigation rather than leaving one person to operate the case while the others simply follow the route.

Which separate activity offers puzzle exploration?

Secrets of Dusseldorf begins at Grabbeplatz and passes St. Andreas, Basilika St. Lambertus and the Cartwheeler Fountain. Choose this separate activity for puzzle exploration, or the detective walk for a continuing investigation and the route including the museum. Both give your companions a common activity while exploring the city on foot.

Each game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team of up to four players on one phone. Both use the free Loquiz app, offer flexible daily starts and remain valid for twelve months after purchase. Agree the preferred format with your group, then find a suitable date. Extra visiting time sits alongside the game duration.

Is the museum on the detective route?

Yes, it appears after Deutsche Oper am Rhein among the listed stops.

Does the game include museum admission?

No admission or exhibition visit is specified.

Can three players share the case?

Yes, up to four people use one phone per team.

Is a scheduled departure needed?

No, both games offer flexible daily starts.
