I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which quest can we follow in a browser?
Secrets of Zurich asks you to help Huldrych Zwingli recover the Disputation Scroll. The walk passes the Ehgraben at Schifflände, Grossmünster Church and the Rathaus. It runs in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed, and allows at most four players per team.
Choose this exploration story when your friends want clues to discuss while walking together. One person handles the screen, but everyone can offer observations and ideas about the next step. Guide yourselves through the activity at your own pace. Arrange several teams if more guests want to join, with a separate device for each small group. Keep rivalry relaxed and make the quest a shared opening to the day within the game's player limit.

Where can friends investigate a detective case?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Zurich follows a case from Fraumünster over Rathausbrücke to Lindenhof. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and allows at most four players per team. Friends can discuss the mystery while following the self-guided walk at their own pace.
Pick this option if your bachelor or bachelorette group enjoys investigating together. Decide which friends will share each team phone and invite everyone to offer ideas during the game. Keep competition between groups friendly as the detective story gives your celebration a common focus. No guide leads the group or makes its next decisions, so each team works through the activity and discusses what to do together during the walk through the city.
How do we plan the bookings and beginning?
A game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Each team has at most four players using one phone. Calculate how many teams your guests need before booking; a larger party requires several bookings and devices within that player limit.
You may start whenever you want on any day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Choose the scroll quest or detective case first, assign friends and check the phone setup. The quest runs in a browser, while the mystery uses an app. Agree a start together and allow enough time for the walk in your day's plans. These self-guided activities let your group organise its own beginning and follow the chosen story together as the celebration gets moving.
Which option works without an app?

Can a hen party take part?

Can five friends share one team?
