I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which detective route includes St. Peter Church?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Zurich lists Rathaus, Rathausbrücke, Grossmünster and St. Peter Church (Kirche St. Peter) among its stops. You investigate a fictional case on foot at your own pace through the free Loquiz app on your phone. The playing time is 1.5 to 2 hours. Choose it for the detective activity and its connection to the church. Any independent church visit can be arranged separately around playing, giving both your sightseeing and the shared game their own time. The route provides real places to encounter while the imagined case gives your companions a common subject to discuss as you walk through Zurich together.

What is the scroll mission in Secrets?
Secrets of Zurich follows a fictional quest to help Huldrych Zwingli recover the Disputation Scroll. Its listed route takes in Ehgraben sewer tunnel at Schifflände, Grossmünster Church, Cabaret Voltaire and Zürich Rathaus. You play in your own phone’s browser with no app needed and allow 1.5 to 2 hours. Pick it when a missing object search sounds more appealing than a murder investigation. It has another story and a separate route from the detective game including St. Peter. Agree on your preferred experience before beginning, then follow its places and tasks together rather than trying to blend both activities into one outing through the city.
How do you organise your group’s playing day?
Each Zurich game costs €19.95 per team for at most 4 players sharing one phone. You can start whenever you want, every day, within 12 months of validity. Choose a suitable day with your companions and leave room for the full activity alongside any independent church plans. Check whether your choice uses the browser or Loquiz before starting. Friends, couples, families or colleagues can share the tasks and compare ideas outdoors. Your own group follows the self-guided experience without meeting a guide at a fixed departure. Give everyone time to contribute, so the shared device carries a common activity that the whole team can take part in as it walks.
