I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which quest follows the missing instrument?

Secrets of Ede asks your team to help street musician Milo Vermeer find his stolen instrument. It runs in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed and at most four players per team. The walk takes in Raadhuisplein and the Grotestraat Passage Entrance as you explore the streets and squares. The fictional search gives your friends a common task and a story to follow between discussions. Swap who holds the phone and invite observations from the whole team before choosing an answer. That makes the opening of a bachelor or bachelorette day a shared activity, rather than leaving the organiser to lead and explain every part of the outing.

Where can the detective group investigate?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Ede leads you through the old centre from Raadhuisplein to Maandereind. Along the route you also see Oude Kerk. The case uses the free Loquiz app, with one phone shared by at most four players. Choose this option when your friends prefer a detective theme to the musician’s quest. Let one teammate read and others discuss their interpretation, then rotate the role to keep everyone involved. The small-team setting helps each person contribute without the whole party having to agree on every move. Friendly competition can add energy to the celebration while the mystery provides a continuing purpose for your walk together.

What is useful to settle before meeting?

Both Ede games cost €19.95 per team and last 1.5 to 2 hours. You can start whenever you want, every day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Arrange teams of at most four and a phone for each before your friends gather. Confirm the game so everyone knows whether to prepare the browser or the free Loquiz app. Leave enough room for the full walking activity in your plans instead of treating it as a brief stop between other arrangements. With those decisions clear, the group can focus on helping its teammates and enjoying the first shared challenge before the rest of the party day continues.
