I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which game offers an exploration walk?

Secrets of Eindhoven takes an exploration route from Markt past the Philips Museum and De Witte Dame, with puzzles to solve along the way. At most four players share one phone using the free Loquiz app. Friends can bring different observations to the activity as they guide themselves through the city. Choose this option when exploring together is part of your plans for the celebration. Everyone can join the discussion, helping the puzzle walk stay shared within the small team rather than centred on the screen holder.

Where can friends investigate a detective case?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Eindhoven starts on Markt and leads past De Blob and the Philips Museum. You follow the detective story on your own phone in the free Loquiz app, with a maximum of four players per team. It gives friends a case to discuss as they walk at their own pace. A bachelor or bachelorette group can arrange several teams when more guests want to join. Prepare a phone for each team and let everyone offer ideas during the investigation.

How does the five-player outdoor escape game work?

The Eindhoven Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Markt, Sint-Catharinakerk and Stadhuis Eindhoven. It allows at most five players per team, using one phone with the free Loquiz app. Your group guides itself through the streets and follows the story at its own pace. The player limit gives you another way to arrange friends before booking. Keep competition relaxed, let everyone help make decisions and use the outdoor chase as a common opening to the day's celebration.

What should we allow for cost and time?

Each game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Count teams within the four-player limit for exploration or detective play, or five for the outdoor escape game, and arrange one phone per team. You can start whenever you want, every day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Choose your story before assigning friends so the teams fit. Prepare the phones and agree a start, then leave enough space for the walk in your plans for the stag or hen day.
