I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What will you explore during the Middelburg game?
Secrets of Middelburg takes you on a self-guided puzzle walk past the Markt, the Stadhuis, Lange Jan and the Gistpoort. You play using the free Loquiz app, with photo tasks alongside the puzzles as you follow the route. The surroundings provide a setting while the game gives your small team something to solve and do together. Discuss ideas before choosing a response and let the photo tasks be a shared part of the activity too. Each friend can contribute in the conversation, making the walk a common experience rather than a task only for whoever is holding the phone during play.

How can several friends share the activity?
Use one phone for each team of at most 4 players. If your bachelor or bachelorette party is larger, arrange several teams so everyone follows the game within a small group. You might mix friends from different circles and let the puzzles provide their first common topic. Decide the groups beforehand and keep the screen available to your teammates once you begin. Friendly competition can focus the opening of the day while shared decisions leave room for each guest to participate. The person using the phone can listen as well as suggest an answer, keeping the thinking part of the whole team’s activity.
What should you reserve in the day’s plans?
Reserve 1.5 to 2 hours and €19.95 per team. You can start whenever you like, with daily availability and a booking valid for 12 months. These details give you flexibility when gathering the friends and choosing how to open the stag or hen day. Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones and settle who will play together before starting. Give the walk enough space in the plans for the puzzles, photo tasks and conversation. Once everyone is ready, the game can become your first shared activity, with time to explore and compare ideas without hurrying through the route together.
