I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How does the detective route include the bridge?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Ghent takes you past Design Museum Gent and the Belfry to the bridge and Gravensteen. These places give the investigation different settings while your group explores on foot. The case connects your outing beyond one destination, providing something to discuss between the real places you see.
At the bridge, look around while keeping the way clear for others. Companions may notice different things, and a short exchange can make the stop feel shared. The investigation supplies the common activity, while attention to the setting keeps your walk connected with the city beyond the screen. You can then return to the case together and continue the route.

What puzzle walk also passes the bridge?
Secrets of Ghent includes Graslei, the bridge, De Post and St. Nicholas’ Church along its route, with puzzles and photo tasks. Choose it if your companions prefer varied activities to a continuing detective case. The different task types offer different ways to contribute, from explaining an answer to helping make a photograph.
Both games use the free Loquiz app on one phone for up to four players. Let everyone hear each instruction before settling on a response. Reading and explaining can change hands during the walk, so the phone holder does not have to carry every decision alone. This helps the activity remain common to all companions throughout the outing.
What practical details help you choose a day?
Both games take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team of up to four people. Both offer flexible daily starts and remain valid for twelve months after purchase. Compare their activity styles with your companions, then find a suitable date and prepare the free Loquiz app on the phone you will share.
Discuss whether the game will be the main outing or part of a longer city visit. Extra time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration. With a clear common plan, everyone can arrive ready for the selected activity, giving the bridge and the other real settings attention between the decisions that carry your walk through the city.
Do both routes pass the bridge?
Yes, it is listed in both described activities.
Can a pair share a game?
Yes, two players can form a team within the four-player limit.
Do both activities need an app?
Yes, both use the free Loquiz app.
Can we decide when to begin?
Both games offer flexible daily starts within twelve months of purchase.
