I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What can four colleagues explore or investigate?
Secrets of Ghent combines puzzles and photo tasks with a walk past Korenmarkt, Graslei and St Michael's Bridge. Colleagues can share observations and discuss how to approach the tasks on their team phone. This self-guided exploration option suits a group that wants varied things to solve while seeing the city together.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Ghent follows a case from Korenmarkt to Gravensteen and the Belfry. Pick it when your colleagues prefer a detective story as the focus of their walk. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Arrange a phone for each team, and encourage everyone to help with decisions during the activity.

Which outdoor escape option allows five players?
The Ghent Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Korenmarkt, Sint-Michielsbrug and Korenlei. It allows at most five players per team using one phone with the free Loquiz app. Your colleagues guide themselves through the streets and follow the outdoor story at their team's pace.
This player limit gives your organiser another way to arrange colleagues into small groups. Everyone can suggest ideas while one person handles the screen, keeping the chase a shared activity. Choose it when an outdoor escape story sounds right for the outing. Each team needs its own phone ready before the start, and a friendly competitive spirit can give the group a common focus.
How do we arrange the timing and team budget?
Each Ghent game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. Calculate the number of teams required within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Every team uses its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.
Teams can begin at the same time and compare scores. Choose the story before assigning colleagues so the groups fit its player limit, then prepare their phones. You may start whenever you want, every day, and the booking is valid for 12 months. Agree a shared start and allow room for the walk within your outing's plans while teams follow the activity themselves.
