I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

How does the library fit into the detective route?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Leipzig includes the Botanical Garden, then the library, Gewandhaus and the Grassi Museum of Ethnology among its stops. These places give your investigation different settings. The case connects the walk beyond one destination, providing something for your companions to discuss between the real places they see.

No interior library visit is specified for the game. If you have additional visiting plans, consider their time independently alongside the walking activity. At the stop itself, give the real building a moment before returning to the next instruction. Clear expectations help your group understand the outing and leave room for any extra time you arrange separately.

What does investigating on a team phone involve?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Leipzig is self-guided with the free Loquiz app on one phone. Up to four players can form a team and compare their thoughts about the case. The device provides the activity while your companions share the reading, discussion and decisions during the walk.

Let everyone hear each task before agreeing on an answer. Someone who is not holding the phone may have another theory worth explaining. You can change who reads as you go, keeping the activity open to all players. This helps the case remain something the group works through together, rather than a game one person operates while the others simply follow the route.

Which exploration walk offers a different activity style?

Secrets of Leipzig takes you past City-Hochhaus Leipzig, St. Nicholas Church, the University of Leipzig and the market square with puzzles and photo tasks. Choose it for varied exploration tasks, or the detective walk for a continuing investigation and the route that includes the library described here.

Both activities take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team of up to four players on one phone. Both use the free Loquiz app, offer flexible daily starts and remain valid for twelve months after purchase. Agree the preferred style with your companions and choose a suitable date. Extra visiting time belongs alongside the game duration.

Is the library on the detective route?

Is an interior library visit included?

Can three people share one case?

Yes, up to four players use one team phone.

Do we need a fixed starting time?
