I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What can teams of four explore or investigate?
Secrets of Gouda follows an exploration route from Markt past Sint-Janskerk, De Goudse Waag and Museum Gouda. You solve puzzles as you walk, with colleagues contributing observations and ideas on a shared team phone. Pick this option when seeing the city through tasks sounds right for the outing.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Gouda follows a case from Markt past Sint-Janskerk and De Goudse Waag. It gives colleagues a detective story to discuss during their self-guided walk. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Arrange a phone for every team and invite everyone to suggest ideas, rather than leaving the decisions only to the screen holder.

Which outdoor escape option allows five colleagues?
The Gouda Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Wijdstraat, Sint-Janskerk and Vroesenhuis. It allows at most five players sharing one phone with the free Loquiz app. Your colleagues guide themselves through the streets and follow the story at their team's pace.
That limit gives your organiser another way to arrange the group into small teams. Everyone can help make decisions around the phone, keeping the outdoor chase shared across the group. Choose it when its story fits your outing. Keep competition friendly and prepare a device for every team before gathering so colleagues are ready to begin the chosen activity and walk together.
How do we coordinate a larger company group?
Each game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Calculate team numbers within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Every team needs its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.
All teams can start at the same time and compare scores. Choose the story before assigning colleagues so the groups fit its limit, then prepare the phones. You can begin whenever you want, every day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Agree a shared start and allow time for the walk while teams follow the self-guided activity on their own devices.
Can colleagues begin at once?
Yes. Teams can start at the same time and compare scores, each using its own phone.
What should a five-player team choose?
The Gouda Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows at most five players per team. The other options allow four.
Do we need an app for the walks?
Yes. All three games use the free Loquiz app on your own team phone.
Where do we request a larger group quote?
Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.
