I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which detective route includes the museum?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Gouda takes you past De Goudse Waag, Sint-Janskerk and the city hall before the museum. The case connects these places with a common investigation as your team explores on foot. The museum is part of a broader walk rather than the only destination for the outing.
No museum admission or exhibition visit is specified for the game. If you want to spend additional time inside separately, plan that independently alongside the activity. At the stop itself, give the real place a moment before reading onward. Clear expectations help your companions understand what the shared day includes and where extra visiting time belongs in your plans.

How does the puzzle exploration pass the same museum?
Secrets of Gouda runs from the Markt past Sint-Janskerk and De Goudse Waag to the museum, with puzzles along the way. Choose it if exploration tasks appeal more to your group than a continuing detective case. The real places provide settings while the game gives your companions something to work on together.
Up to four players share one phone with the free Loquiz app, as in the detective activity. Let everyone hear the task before agreeing on an answer, and invite different people to explain their ideas. Reading can change hands during the walk. This keeps the activity common to the whole team rather than managed only by the phone holder.
What practical arrangements do the two games share?
Both activities take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team of up to four players. Both offer flexible daily starts and remain valid for twelve months after purchase. Compare their activity styles with your companions, then find a suitable date and prepare the free Loquiz app on your shared phone.
Discuss whether the game will be the main outing or part of a longer city day. Extra time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration. With a clear common plan, everyone can arrive ready for the selected activity, enjoying the tasks or investigation while giving the museum and the other real route settings attention between game decisions.
Do both walks include the museum?
Yes, both described routes pass it.
Is museum admission included?
No admission or exhibition visit is specified.
Can three people share one game?
Yes, up to four players use one phone per team.
Is a scheduled start required?
No, both activities offer flexible daily starts within twelve months of purchase.
