I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where can explorers or detectives walk together?
Secrets of Maastricht follows a puzzle route from Vrijthof past Saint Servatius, Stokstraat and Helpoort. Colleagues guide themselves on a shared phone, contributing observations and ideas as they approach the exploration activity together. Pick it when seeing the city through tasks sounds right for your group's outing.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Maastricht follows a case from City Hall to Vrijthof and down to Helpoort. It gives colleagues a detective story to discuss during a self-guided walk. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Prepare a phone for every team and invite everyone to suggest ideas, rather than leaving decisions only to the person handling the screen.

Which outdoor escape story allows five colleagues?
The Maastricht Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Vrijthof, Basiliek van Sint Servaas and Platielstraat. It allows at most five players sharing a phone with the free Loquiz app. Your colleagues guide themselves through the streets and follow the outdoor story at their team's pace.
That limit offers your organiser another way to arrange colleagues into small groups. Everyone can help make decisions around the phone, keeping the chase shared across the team. Choose it when that story fits your outing. Keep rivalry relaxed and give different approaches room in the discussion while each small group follows its activity on its own device.
How can we arrange a larger department outing?
A game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Calculate team numbers within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape option. Each team needs its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.
All teams can begin at the same time and compare scores. Choose your story before assigning colleagues so the groups fit its limit, then prepare their devices. You may start on any day whenever you want, with a booking valid for 12 months. Agree a shared beginning and allow room for the walk while teams follow the self-guided activity on their own phones.
Can colleagues compare their results?
Yes. Teams can start at the same time and compare scores, each playing on its own phone.
