I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which detective route includes Grote Markt?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Goes lists Theater De Mythe, Grote Markt, Grote of Maria Magdalenakerk and Manhuistuin among its stops. Your team follows a fictional murder investigation on foot at its own pace, using the free Loquiz app on your own phone. The playing time is 1.5 to 2 hours. Choose this story if your companions would enjoy comparing theories as they walk. The square is one point in the wider route, with the case giving everyone something to discuss between places. Read each task so the group can hear it and consider different explanations before deciding what to do, rather than leaving all the thinking to the phone holder.

What does the puzzle and photo tour include?
Secrets of Goes is a self-guided walking tour past Grote Markt, Maria Magdalenakerk and the old harbour, with puzzles and photo tasks. Het Postkantoor is also among its listed route points. You follow the activity through the free Loquiz app on your own phone and allow 1.5 to 2 hours. Pick it when practical tasks sound more appealing than a murder investigation. Both options connect to the square, but they have different activities and their own routes. Agree on your choice before beginning, then follow that game together. Plan any independent church or other sightseeing visits separately around the time your group spends walking and playing.
How do you organise one team and a start time?
Each Goes game costs €19.95 per team for at most 4 players sharing one phone. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game stays valid for 12 months. Find a suitable day with your companions and make room for the full activity alongside your other plans. Both games use Loquiz, so prepare the device for your selection before starting. Friends can exchange suggestions, a couple can solve together, and colleagues can share a task outside. Keep the instructions part of the conversation so everyone has a chance to contribute. Your own group follows the self-guided experience without meeting a guide for a scheduled departure.
