I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which exploration route includes the mural?
Secrets of Goes includes Harbour Mural after Grote of Maria Magdalenakerk, Saint Maria Magdalena Church and Het Postkantoor in walking order. The game is a self-guided exploration with puzzles and photo tasks, giving your group a common activity while the real places supply the setting.
At the mural, make room to look around before returning to the tasks. Your interest in one destination can connect with a wider outing that also gives you something to do together between places. The route provides somewhere to continue towards, while the activity invites your teammates to offer ideas. Both the actual surroundings and the tasks can contribute to enjoying the walk through Goes together.

What is the separate detective option?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Goes follows a detective case from Grote Markt to Manhuistuin. Its route also includes Theater De Mythe and Grote of Maria Magdalenakerk. Choose it if your group prefers a murder investigation to a walking exploration with puzzles and photo tasks.
Both games use the free Loquiz app on your own phone. Decide which activity suits your teammates before beginning and follow its own route. If Harbour Mural is central to your plan, Secrets of Goes is the game that includes it. A couple, friends or colleagues can compare the options and choose a common task they would enjoy sharing alongside seeing the real city surroundings on foot.
What do either game’s practical details involve?
Both games cost €19.95 per team, take 1.5 to 2 hours and allow at most 4 players sharing one phone. Starting is flexible every day, and the purchase stays valid for 12 months. Choose a playing time that gives the activity room within your group’s Goes day.
Keep independent sightseeing visits separate from the game duration. Agree on the phone you will share and make its information available through reading and discussion so everyone can participate. Each teammate can offer ideas without holding a separate device. Your chosen activity gives the outing its focus, while the route and the group’s conversation help make the time between destinations part of the experience you share together.
