I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which pirate story can we follow in a browser?
Secrets of Wismar joins Klaus Störtebeker on a quest to reunite his crew. The walk passes Wasserkunst, Marienkirche and Neue Kirche. It runs in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed, and allows at most four players per team. Friends can share observations as they guide themselves through the exploration story.
Choose it when a quest sounds like the right common focus for your group. One person handles the screen, but everyone can suggest ideas and help decide what to do next. Follow the activity at your own pace. Arrange several small teams if more guests are joining, with a separate device for every group, keeping the challenge shared within the player limit throughout the outing.

Where can a detective team follow a case?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Wismar follows a case from Marktplatz to Wassertor. The route also passes Wasserkunst and Marienkirche. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and allows at most four players per team. Friends can discuss the mystery while following the self-guided walk at their own pace.
Pick this story when your bachelor or bachelorette group wants to investigate together. Decide which friends will share each phone and encourage everyone to offer ideas during the activity. Keep competition relaxed as the case gives the celebration a common opening focus. No guide leads the group or makes its next decisions, leaving each team to work through the story and discuss how to proceed together.
How do we arrange the activity budget and start?
Each Wismar game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. At most four players share one team phone. Count the teams your guest list needs before booking, since a larger party requires several bookings and devices within that limit.
You can begin whenever you want, every day, and the booking stays valid for 12 months. Choose the pirate quest or detective case first, assign friends and check the phone setup. The quest runs in a browser, while the mystery uses an app. Agree a start together and leave enough room for the walk in your celebration plans. The self-guided format lets your group organise its own beginning and follow the chosen story together.
