I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where can explorers or detectives walk together?
Secrets of Zwolle takes an exploration route from Grote Kerkplein past Peperbus and Sassenpoort, with puzzles to solve along the way. Friends follow the self-guided activity on one phone, offering observations and ideas as they move through the city. It suits a group that wants exploring to be part of its celebration.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Zwolle follows a case from Grote Kerk to Sassenpoort. Choose it when discussing a detective story sounds like the focus your friends want for their walk. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Arrange a phone for every team joining, and encourage everyone to contribute.

What can five friends choose for an outdoor chase?
The Zwolle Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Grote Markt, Grote of Sint-Michaëlskerk and Stadhuis. It uses the free Loquiz app on one phone and allows at most five players per team. Your friends guide themselves through the streets, following the outdoor story at their own pace.
A bachelor or bachelorette group can use this player limit when arranging guests into smaller teams. Everyone can bring an idea to the discussion while one person handles the screen. Keep competition relaxed and let the chase give the celebration a shared opening challenge. Each team needs its own phone, so settle that arrangement before gathering to begin the activity.
How do we budget and choose the beginning?
Each Zwolle game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Calculate the number of teams needed within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Every team uses one phone, so larger groups need several devices and bookings within those limits.
You can start whenever you want, every day, and your booking stays valid for 12 months. Choose your story before assigning friends so the team arrangements fit it, then prepare the phones. Agree a start together and leave room for the walk in your celebration plans. These self-guided games let your group organise its own beginning and follow the chosen activity together.
Can a bachelorette group play the games?
Yes. Bachelor and bachelorette groups can take part in small teams with friendly competition.
Which exploration route begins on Grote Kerkplein?

Does detective play allow five guests?
The detective game allows at most four players per team. The Zwolle Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows five.
Do we need an app for all three choices?
Yes. Each game uses the free Loquiz app on your own team phone.
