I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which detective walk includes the church landmark?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Zwolle includes the church, Engelse Werk, Park de Wezenlanden and Sassenpoort among its route stops. These places give the investigation changing settings as your team explores on foot. The case supplies a common activity while the city provides things to notice beyond the phone screen.
At the church, give the real building a moment before returning to the fictional investigation. No admission or interior visit is specified for the game. If you want a separate visit, plan it independently alongside the walking activity. This keeps expectations clear for companions who may want different things from the day, balancing the case with any additional plans.

How does the case work on a shared phone?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Zwolle is self-guided through the free Loquiz app on one phone. Up to four players form a team, comparing their theories and choosing answers together. The device provides the game while your group supplies the conversation and decisions during the walk.
Let everyone hear each task before settling on a response. Someone who is not holding the phone may see a different possibility worth explaining. You can change who reads or holds the device as you go. This helps all companions remain part of the investigation, rather than leaving one player to manage the case while the others simply follow the route.
What puzzle walk could you choose instead?
Secrets of Zwolle offers a separate exploration from Grote Kerkplein past Peperbus and Sassenpoort, with puzzles along the route. Choose it if puzzle exploration appeals more than a continuing detective case. Select the investigation for the walk that lists the church landmark described here among its stops.
Both games take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team of up to four players sharing one phone. Both use the free Loquiz app, offer flexible daily starts and remain valid for twelve months after purchase. Compare the activity styles with your companions, then find a suitable day. Additional time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration.
