I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

How does the street mission include the square?

The Zwolle Syndicate (outdoor escape game) includes the square, Grote of Sint-Michaëlskerk, the city hall and In Den Hoofdwacht among its stops. These places give your pursuit different settings while the story follows Magnus and the stolen formulas. The square is one part of a wider route rather than the only destination for the day.

Take a moment to look around before the next instruction takes your attention. Companions may enjoy different parts of the outing, so it helps to give both the place and the mission room. A short exchange about what each person notices keeps the real city present in your shared experience before you continue with the activity together.

What does the outdoor escape game offer a team?

The Zwolle Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows up to five people on one phone with the free Loquiz app. You play self-guided outside in the streets, with a continuing mission providing a common reason to explore. Choose it when your companions want a pursuit to connect their walk and conversation between real places.

Let everyone hear each task before the team chooses an answer. A player without the device may have another approach worth explaining. You can change who reads or leads the discussion during the walk, so the phone holder does not have to manage every decision alone. This helps all companions remain part of the mission throughout the outing.

Which separate walk provides a detective case?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Zwolle leads from Grote Kerk towards Sassenpoort and also lists Park de Wezenlanden. Choose it if your group prefers an investigation to the outdoor escape pursuit. The detective game permits four players per team, while the Syndicate mission allows five and includes the square described here.

Both activities take 1.5 to 2 hours, use the free Loquiz app and cost €19.95 per team on one phone. Both offer flexible daily starts and twelve months of validity after purchase. Compare group size and story style before choosing a suitable date together. Extra time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration in your shared plan.
