I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How do you help Milo Vermeer?
Secrets of Ede asks you to help street musician Milo Vermeer find his stolen instrument. This city game Ede takes you past Raadhuisplein and then the Grotestraat Passage Entrance before the Grotestraat Central Point. These places accompany the route through the streets and squares while your team follows the search.
The story runs in your own phone browser, without an app. Allow around 1.5 to 2 hours. Choose this exploration if a missing-instrument search is the task you want for your walk. You can share the clues with everyone and compare thoughts as you go, looking around as well as following the phone while moving at your team's own pace.

Where does the detective case lead?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Ede gives your team a detective investigation using the free Loquiz app. Its route passes Gemeentehuis Ede first, then Raadhuisplein and afterwards Oude Kerk. This is a separate story from Milo's search, with its own task to follow through the old centre.
You use your own phone and should plan around 1.5 to 2 hours. Decide together whether investigating a murder is the activity you want before starting. One player can call up clues and read them aloud while everyone contributes thoughts about the case. That keeps the task shared during your walk, rather than leaving the investigation only to whoever holds the phone as you go.
What are the conditions for your Ede group?
Your city game Ede costs €19.95 per team using one phone with at most four players. Both games allow this team size. Decide who is joining you and agree whether you want the instrument search or the detective mystery before opening the selected story. Your choice also determines the technology you use.
You can start whenever you like and should set aside around 1.5 to 2 hours. Use your phone browser for Secrets of Ede or the free Loquiz app for the murder case.
