I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which detective case can four colleagues follow?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in The Hague follows a case from Buitenhof past Hofvijver and Mauritshuis. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone, with at most four players per team. Colleagues can discuss the mystery while guiding themselves through the walk at their own pace. Choose this story when investigating together sounds like the focus your group wants. Prepare a phone for every team and invite everyone to suggest ideas as the detective activity gives the outing a shared walking challenge.

Where does the exploration route take our team?

Secrets of The Hague follows a puzzle walk from Buitenhof past Gevangenpoort and De Passage. It allows at most four players sharing a phone with the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves, offering observations as they discuss how to approach the exploration activity together. Choose it when varied city tasks suit your outing. Everyone can help make decisions, keeping the challenge shared within the team rather than leaving all the next steps to the person handling the screen while the group follows the game.

What outdoor escape story accommodates five?

The The Hague Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Buitenhof, Riviervismarkt and Het Oude Stadhuis. It allows at most five players sharing one phone with the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves through the streets and take the story at their team's pace. The player limit gives your organiser another way to arrange colleagues into small groups. Keep rivalry relaxed and let everyone contribute to decisions, making the outdoor chase a shared activity around the phone and a common focus for the outing.

How do we organise the larger group booking?

A game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Plan teams within the four-player detective and exploration limit, or five for the outdoor escape option, and arrange one phone per team. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. All teams can begin at the same time and compare scores. You may start whenever you want on any day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Choose a story, assign colleagues and agree a shared start with time for the walk.

Can colleagues compare their results?

Yes. Teams can start at the same time and compare scores, each playing on its own phone.

Which detective walk passes Hofvijver?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in The Hague follows a case from Buitenhof past Hofvijver and Mauritshuis.

Do the games all require an app?

Yes. Each game uses the free Loquiz app on your own team phone.

How can a larger department ask for its price?

Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.
