I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How does the detective route include the park?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in The Hague includes Huis van het Boek, the Historic Museum, Mauritshuis and the park among its stops. These places give the case changing settings while your team explores. The investigation provides a shared thread through the outing rather than leaving it as a sequence of separate destinations.
At the park, take a moment to notice the surroundings before reading onward. Some companions may enjoy the case most, while others want time to look around. Giving both interests room helps the walk stay shared, with the real city present alongside the fictional activity. A short exchange about what each person notices can make the stop part of your common experience.

What does following the case on one phone involve?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in The Hague is self-guided with the free Loquiz app on one phone. Up to four players form a team and compare their theories about the case. The device provides the activity while your group shares the conversation and decisions as the walk continues.
Let everyone hear each task before agreeing on an answer. A companion without the phone may have another explanation worth considering. You can change who reads or leads the discussion during the outing, so one person does not have to manage the entire investigation alone. This helps all players remain involved rather than simply following the person who is operating the device.
Which mission offers an outdoor escape alternative?
The The Hague Syndicate (outdoor escape game) leads from Buitenhof and Binnenhof towards Lange Voorhout, following Magnus and the stolen formulas. Choose this separate pursuit if your group prefers a street mission to a detective case. It allows up to five players per team, compared with four for the investigation.
Both games take 1.5 to 2 hours, use the free Loquiz app and cost €19.95 per team on one phone. Both offer flexible daily starts and twelve months of validity after purchase. Compare group size and activity style before choosing a suitable date with your companions. Extra time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration in your shared plan.
