I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How does the outdoor escape route reach the palace?
The The Hague Syndicate (outdoor escape game) starts at Buitenhof and takes you past Riviervismarkt and the old city hall before the palace. These places give your mission a sequence of city settings. You explore outside on foot while the story supplies something for your group to discuss between the stops.
At the palace, let the building have attention before reading onward. No palace admission or interior visit is specified for the game. If you want to make separate visiting plans, consider them independently of the activity. A clear outline helps everyone understand the outing and leaves room for the real places alongside the fictional pursuit you have chosen to follow.

What is the shared mission through the streets?
The The Hague Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas through the city. Up to five players share one phone with the free Loquiz app, playing self-guided as they explore. Choose it when a continuing pursuit gives your companions a common reason to walk and compare ideas.
Make sure everyone hears the task before agreeing on an answer. A companion who is not holding the phone can still offer a different approach. Reading and explaining can change hands as you go, so the device holder does not carry every decision alone. This keeps the mission a shared activity throughout the city walk.
What should you arrange before playing together?
Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the outdoor escape game and prepare the free Loquiz app on your shared phone. It costs €19.95 per team and offers a flexible start every day. The purchase stays valid for twelve months, so you can find a date that suits your companions.
Decide whether the game is the main activity or part of a longer visit. Extra time at individual sights belongs alongside the game duration. With a common plan, everyone can arrive ready for the same outing, giving the mission their attention while also noticing the palace and the other real settings that make up the route through the city.
Is the palace a listed route stop?
Yes, it appears after the old city hall.
Can five people share the pursuit?
Yes, up to five players form a team on one phone.
Is a palace visit included?
No palace admission or interior visit is specified.
Do we need a timed departure?
No, you can choose a flexible daily start within twelve months of purchase.
