I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How does the outdoor escape route reach the city hall?
The Deventer Syndicate (outdoor escape game) takes you past Geert Groote Huis and Grote of Lebuinuskerk to the city hall and then Duimpoort. These places give your pursuit changing settings while your group follows Magnus and the stolen formulas. The building is one stop in a wider city outing rather than the only destination for the day.
No city hall admission or interior visit is specified for the activity. If you want an additional visit, plan it independently alongside the walk. At the stop itself, let the real setting have attention before reading onward. Clear expectations help companions understand what the shared outing includes and where extra visiting time belongs in your plans.

What does the street mission involve for your team?
The Deventer Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows up to five people on one phone with the free Loquiz app. You play self-guided outside in the city streets, following a continuing pursuit as you explore. Choose it when your companions want a common mission to connect their walk and conversation.
Let everyone hear each instruction before the team agrees on an answer. A player without the phone may have another approach worth explaining. Reading and discussing can change hands during the walk, so the device holder does not have to carry every decision alone. This keeps the pursuit open to the whole group throughout the outing as the route develops.
What are the practical arrangements for playing?
The outdoor escape game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. You can start whenever you like each day, and the purchase remains valid for twelve months. Find a suitable date with your companions and prepare the free Loquiz app on the phone your team will share.
Discuss whether the game will be the main outing or one part of a longer city visit. Any extra time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration. With that plan clear, everyone can arrive ready for the same activity, enjoying the pursuit while giving the city hall and the other real route settings attention between the decisions that move your mission forward.
