I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How does the detective walk include the park?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Nijmegen includes Kronenburgerpark, Commanderie Van Sint Jan and Valkhof Park among its route stops. The walk leads from Grote Markt towards the Valkhof, giving your investigation a connection between city places. The park is one part of that broader outing rather than its only destination.
Let your group look around before continuing with the next instruction. Companions may notice different things, and a short exchange can make the stop part of your shared experience. The game gives the route a purpose, while attention to the real surroundings keeps the outing connected with the city beyond the screen you are using.

What does following the case together involve?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Nijmegen is self-guided with the free Loquiz app on one phone. Up to four players form a team and compare their thoughts about the investigation. The device carries the activity while your group shares the discussion and decisions along the walk.
Make sure everyone hears each task before agreeing on an answer. A companion without the phone in their hand may have a different theory worth explaining. You can change who reads or leads the discussion as you go. This helps the case remain common to all players rather than something one person manages while the others simply follow the route.
Which exploration game offers varied tasks instead?
Secrets of Nijmegen provides a separate walk with puzzles, photo tasks and stories. It passes De Waagh, the Kerkboog Facade and the Historic Chapel with its Mariken Plaque. Choose it for a mix of activities, or choose the detective walk for a continuing case and the route that includes the park.
Both games take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team of up to four players on one phone. Both use the free Loquiz app, offer flexible daily starts and remain valid for twelve months after purchase. Compare the activity styles with your companions, then find a suitable date. Extra visiting time belongs alongside the game duration.
