I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Should we choose a legend or a murder mystery?
Secrets of Antwerp joins Silvius Brabo in tracking a shapeshifting giant through the city. You see Antwerp's City Hall, Grote Markt and Het Steen along the way. This game runs in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed, and allows at most four players per team.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Antwerp offers a different kind of story. The detective walk goes from Grote Markt past the cathedral towards Het Steen on the Scheldt. It uses the free Loquiz app and also allows four players on one team phone. Pick the legend for an exploration story or the detective route when friends want a case to discuss together.

How does the outdoor escape game work for our party?
The Antwerp Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas with teams of up to five players. You walk past Vlaeykensgang, Steenplein and Vleeshuis as you follow the game on your own phone. The free Loquiz app carries the activity, and you set your own pace through the streets.
For a stag or hen group, the five-player team size is useful to consider before arranging friends. Several smaller teams can each take part with their own phone. Keep your competition focused on sharing ideas and enjoying the story together. There is no guide accompanying the walk, so agree your group arrangements before the start and let everyone contribute to the team's decisions.
What should we budget and when can we begin?
An Antwerp game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. The exploration and detective games allow at most four players per team; the outdoor escape game allows five. Count your teams according to that limit when planning the cost for a larger bachelor or bachelorette party.
You may start whenever you want, every day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Decide which story you prefer and check its phone setup before the group meets. The browser option and app-based options have different preparations, even though all are self-guided. Once teams are arranged, choose a convenient start and give the walk a clear place in your day's celebration.
Can we play without installing an app?
Secrets of Antwerp runs in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed. The other two games use the free Loquiz app.
Which story includes Silvius Brabo?
Secrets of Antwerp follows Silvius Brabo as you track a shapeshifting giant through the city.
Can five friends share a team?
Five players can share one team in The Antwerp Syndicate (outdoor escape game). The other games allow at most four.
How long does the activity take?
Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for your chosen game. You follow the self-guided walk at your own pace.
