I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What can a four-player team explore or investigate?

Secrets of Almere takes you from Kunstlinie to the Weerwater promenade with puzzles and photo tasks along the route. It runs in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed. At most four players can share a team and contribute ideas to the self-guided exploration activity.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Almere offers a case through the centre from Stadspark to De Nieuwe Bibliotheek and Weerwater. This detective game also allows four players per team, but uses the free Loquiz app. Pick the story your friends want to discuss, then arrange teams and their phones. More guests can join by forming additional teams within the selected game's limit.

How does a five-person team follow the outdoor story?

The Almere Syndicate (outdoor escape game) sends you after Magnus and the stolen formulas past Nieuwe Bibliotheek Almere, Stadhuis Almere and Esplanade. Up to five players share one team phone using the free Loquiz app. You guide yourselves through the streets, following the story at your own pace.

For a bachelor or bachelorette celebration, consider this team size when deciding which friends will play together. Everyone can suggest ideas while one person handles the screen. Keep the rivalry relaxed as the outdoor chase provides a common focus for the beginning of your day. Each team needs its own phone, so settle those arrangements before the group gathers for the activity.

What should we budget and how can we start?

Each Almere game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Plan four players per team for exploration or detective play, or five for the outdoor escape game, with one phone for each team. Calculate the number of bookings your guest list needs within those limits.

You can begin whenever you want on any day, and the booking is valid for 12 months. Choose your story first, then assign friends and prepare the phone setup it requires. Agree a start together and leave enough room for the walking activity in your celebration's plans. The games are self-guided, leaving your group to organise its own beginning and follow the story together.

Yes. A hen or bachelorette group can choose these games and play in small teams.

Can five friends share the detective game?

How long can we use the booking?

The booking is valid for 12 months, and you can start whenever you want on any day.
