I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What can a four-player exploration or detective team do?
Secrets of Enschede starts on Oude Markt and takes you past Grote Kerk with puzzles and photo tasks. Your friends follow the exploration activity on a shared phone, bringing their observations and ideas to each task. The walk is self-guided, leaving your team to decide its own pace together.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Enschede gives the outing a detective focus. The case follows a route from Oude Markt and Grote Kerk outwards through the city. Choose it when your friends prefer a mystery to discuss during the walk. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Arrange a phone for every team before beginning.

What outdoor chase can a five-person team choose?
The Enschede Syndicate (outdoor escape game) takes you after Magnus and the stolen formulas past Klokkenplas, Oude Markt and Concordia. At most five players share a phone using the free Loquiz app. You follow the outdoor story through the streets at your team's pace, guiding yourselves without a guide leading the activity.
A bachelor or bachelorette group can use this larger team limit to arrange friends differently. Invite everyone to contribute ideas while one person handles the screen. Keep competition between teams relaxed as the chase gives your celebration a shared focus at the start of the day. Each team needs its own phone, so settle those arrangements before the group meets to play.
How do we plan the start and activity budget?
Each Enschede game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Work out how many teams your guest list needs, allowing four players for exploration or detective play, or five for the outdoor escape game. Every team uses one phone, so larger parties need several devices and bookings within those limits.
You can begin whenever you want, every day, and the booking stays valid for 12 months. Choose the story before assigning friends so the team arrangements fit. Prepare the phones, agree a start and allow time for the walk within the day's plans. These self-guided games let your group organise its own beginning and follow the chosen activity together.
Can we bring a bachelorette group?
Yes. Bachelor or bachelorette groups can play the games in small teams with friendly competition.
Which exploration game begins on Oude Markt?
Secrets of Enschede starts on Oude Markt and leads past Grote Kerk with puzzles and photo tasks.
Is one phone enough for a team?
Yes. Each team uses one phone within the game's limit of four players, or five for The Enschede Syndicate (outdoor escape game).
Do all games use an app?
Yes. Each option uses the free Loquiz app.
