I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What dark past does the centre of Enschede have?

In May 1862 a great fire swept through Enschede and destroyed most of the town in a single day. That is why the centre looks younger than you might expect, and why the Grote Kerk on the Oude Markt, one of the oldest buildings in the city, stands out so clearly. The Secrets route also takes you to the Middeleeuwse Stadspoort, a reminder of the town before the fire.

After the fire Enschede was rebuilt and grew into one of the biggest textile towns of the Netherlands, with mills, workers' houses and tall chimneys. On an autumn evening, when the light goes early and the Oude Markt fills with people, the old church tower and the dark side streets give the town a very different face.

Secrets of Enschede starts on the Oude Markt and sends you past the Grote Kerk, the St. Jacobuskerk, De Kleine Willem and Jazzpodium de Tor, with puzzles about what you see.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Enschede is a detective case based on Sherlock Holmes. From the Oude Markt and the Grote Kerk you work your way outwards, past the Synagogue of Enschede and Het Volkspark to the Wilminktheater. A murder mystery in the dark is just right for the season.

The Enschede Syndicate (outdoor escape game) puts you on the trail of Magnus and the stolen formulas, from the Klokkenplas and the Oude Markt past Concordia to the Stadhuis Enschede. It is an outdoor alternative to an escape room for 2 to 5 players.
