I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What brings the puzzle walk past the bridge?
Secrets of Montfoort passes De Draaibrug during a city walk with puzzles and photo tasks. The bridge is a real destination to appreciate, while the game supplies an activity your group can work on together. You can look around without needing to invent a history of the place or promise how it operates during your visit. Then return to the next instruction and let everyone offer a suggestion. The phone should help your group follow the same activity, rather than draw one person into reading silently while the others wait. Share the information aloud before choosing an answer or deciding how to approach a photo task.

Which places accompany the Montfoort route?
De Sint-Janskerk, Molen De Valk and De Stadsmuur are among the named route stops for Secrets of Montfoort. With the bridge featured here, they give the activity a city setting as your group explores on foot. Follow the game for actual directions instead of assembling a separate sightseeing programme from the names alone. Any independent church, mill or other interior visit needs its own arrangements outside the activity. Between tasks, compare the explanations your team is considering and hear another idea before making a decision. The walk gives your discussion room, while the puzzles and photo tasks connect your choices throughout the outing.
What are the practical details for playing?
Secrets of Montfoort uses the free Loquiz app and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. The price is €19.95 per team for at most 4 players sharing one phone. Friends, colleagues or a couple can participate in the same activity when instructions are read aloud and ideas discussed before an answer is entered. Let different players suggest the next response or an approach to a photo task. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game remains valid for 12 months. Choose enough time for walking and solving together, keeping independent bridge or other sightseeing plans outside the game's own activity and time allowance.
