I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How can the palace fit a detective day?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Salzburg passes Schloss Hellbrunn at Fürstenweg 37. The palace is a real destination, while the fictional murder case provides your group's activity on foot. Passing the place does not establish an included tour or interior admission, so organise any independent palace visit separately. Take a moment to appreciate the setting before returning to the instructions. You do not need to invent a connection between the building's history and the story to enjoy the walk. Hear what everyone thinks before choosing the next answer, keeping the investigation a shared conversation rather than a private task for the person holding the phone.

Which setting does the Salzburg case describe?
The game description leads from the Mozart statue through the old town towards the fortress hill. Residenzplatz is also named among the route stops, alongside the palace featured here. These places give your investigation a city setting as you explore on foot. Follow the game for actual directions instead of constructing a separate tour from the names alone. Between tasks, ask whether a new instruction changes an earlier assumption and let a different teammate suggest an explanation. The walk provides room for discussion while the fictional case connects your decisions. Keep any independent interior sightseeing outside the activity so the investigation can retain its own rhythm.
How do time, price and phone access work?
The Salzburg mystery takes 1.5 to 2 hours and uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone. The price is €19.95 per team for at most 4 players sharing one phone. Friends, colleagues or a couple can follow the same case by reading instructions aloud and discussing an answer before entering it. A shared device serves the group when its information stays in the conversation. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game remains valid for 12 months. Choose a suitable period for the walking investigation itself, with independent palace visits or other sightseeing planned outside the game's own activity.
