I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What setting will your Salzburg investigation explore?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Salzburg leads you from the Mozart statue to the fortress hill through the old town at your own pace. You investigate on foot with the free Loquiz app. Residenzplatz and Salzburg Cathedral are also among the places you see along the route. The real surroundings provide the setting while the fictional case gives colleagues something to discuss. Compare what different teammates make of the information before your group answers. Another interpretation can add to the conversation, giving each person room to contribute. The activity combines a walk with shared detective work, keeping colleagues involved together throughout this part of the outing.

How do several teams share the outing?
Each team uses its own phone and has at most 4 players; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Decide who plays together before beginning, perhaps bringing colleagues from different parts of your work group into the same small team. The investigation offers a common topic immediately. Keep the screen available and hear more than one suggestion before choosing a response. Comparing scores gives the wider group something to return to after the game, while sharing decisions within each team keeps the activity sociable. The person holding the phone can investigate alongside the others rather than providing all the ideas.
What should you reserve for the activity?
Reserve 1.5 to 2 hours and budget €19.95 per team, with larger groups asking for a group quote on the website. You can start whenever you like, with daily availability and a booking valid for 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on each team’s phone and agree on the groups before the case begins. Choose a starting moment that lets colleagues gather, then give the walk enough time in the plans for exploring and discussing answers. Once everyone is ready, the investigation supplies a shared task for the outing. You can compare scores afterwards and talk about how different teams approached the same detective challenge together.
What app should we prepare?
Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones.
How many share each phone?
At most 4 players use one phone per team.
Can teams begin at the same time?
Yes. All teams can start at the same time and compare their scores.
How do larger work groups take part?
Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. The game costs €19.95 per team.
