I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What will you see during the Zaanse Schans game?

Secrets of Zaanse Schans takes you on a self-guided walk past windmills, wooden houses and riverside workshops. You play using the free Loquiz app on your own phone. Along the route you see the Zaandam Time Museum area and Zonnewijzerspad, giving your group surroundings to notice as you explore. The game gives your small team something to approach together during the walk. Discuss what the activity presents and hear different suggestions before choosing your response. Each person can contribute to the conversation, making the first activity of the celebration something the friends in your team actively share rather than leaving every decision to one person.

How do you keep a larger party involved?

Each team has at most 4 players and shares one phone. A larger bachelor or bachelorette party can arrange several teams so everyone follows the game within a small group. Think about the friends you put together: you can mix guests who have not met or let familiar teammates compare their ideas. Keep the phone visible to everyone and treat your responses as team decisions. Friendly competition gives the opening activity direction while listening within the group leaves room for each friend. Settle the teams in advance so the organiser can join the game once everyone is ready, with the practical divisions already clear.

What should you allow before you begin?

Allow 1.5 to 2 hours at €19.95 per team. You can play daily, start whenever you like and use the booking within 12 months. This gives you flexibility when gathering your friends and choosing how to open the stag or hen day. Prepare the free Loquiz app on the phones your teams will use and agree who will play together before starting. Give the walk a dedicated space in the plans, with time to discuss your ideas as well as explore. Once everyone is ready, the game can be a shared opening activity that lets your friends spend this part of the celebration doing something together.

Which app accompanies the game?

You play Secrets of Zaanse Schans with the free Loquiz app.

At most 4 players use one phone per team.

What is the team price?
