I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What activity passes this bakery museum?

Secrets of Zaanse Schans passes Bakery Museum "In de Gecroonde Duyvekater" at Zeilenmakerspad 4. The museum is a real destination to appreciate, while the game supplies puzzles and photo tasks for your group. A passing route does not establish admission, an included interior tour or food as part of the activity, so arrange any independent museum visit separately. Look around before sharing the next instruction aloud and let each player suggest an approach. The walk stays shared when its information remains in your group conversation rather than only on the device holder's screen. You do not need to invent a history lesson to enjoy reaching a named place together.

Which places frame the Zaanse Schans route?

Zaandam Time Museum and Zonnewijzerspad (Sundial Path) are among the named route stops for Secrets of Zaanse Schans. With the bakery museum featured here, they give the activity a real local setting. The game description also places your walk among windmills, wooden houses and riverside workshops. Follow the game for actual progress instead of creating an independent interior visiting programme from the names. Any separate sightseeing needs its own arrangements outside the activity. Between puzzles, compare possible answers and invite another teammate to suggest an approach to a photo task. The walking gives those discussions room while the tasks connect your choices throughout the outing.

How do time, access and price work?

Secrets of Zaanse Schans takes 1.5 to 2 hours and uses the free Loquiz app. It costs €19.95 per team for at most 4 players sharing one phone. Friends, colleagues or a couple can follow the same instructions when they are read aloud and responses discussed before an answer is entered. Rotate who offers the first suggestion, keeping the shared device as a tool for everyone's participation. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game remains valid for 12 months. Choose enough time for walking and solving together, with independent museum or other sightseeing visits outside the game's own activity and duration.
