I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

Where does the detective walk go from the tower?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Berlin begins at the TV Tower and leads through the Nikolaiviertel to Berlin Cathedral. This gives your outing a connection between city places while the case provides something for your companions to work on. The tower is a beginning for the activity rather than the whole destination.

No tower admission or ascent is specified for the game. If you want to arrange a separate tower visit, plan its time independently alongside the walking activity. At the start, take a moment to notice the building and gather your group before reading the first instruction. That helps everyone begin with the same understanding of the outing.

What does the team share during the investigation?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Berlin is self-guided with the free Loquiz app on one phone. Up to four players can form a team and compare their theories about the case. The device carries the activity while your group supplies the conversation and decisions as the walk develops.

Let each companion hear the task before you settle on an answer. Someone who is not holding the phone may see another possibility worth explaining. Reading and discussing can change hands during the outing, keeping the investigation open to all players. This helps the activity remain something the group shares rather than a game one person operates while the others follow through the city.

How can you organise the day with your companions?

The detective game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. You can start whenever you like each day, and the purchase stays valid for twelve months. Choose a suitable date together and have the free Loquiz app ready on the phone your team will share.

Discuss whether the game will be the main outing or part of a longer visit. Extra time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration. With a clear common plan, everyone can arrive ready for the same activity, enjoying the investigation while giving the tower and the other real settings attention between the decisions that move the case forward.

Does the case begin at the tower?

Yes, the detective walk starts there and continues towards Berlin Cathedral.

Is a tower visit included?

No admission or ascent is specified.

Can three players share one game?

Yes, up to four people use one phone per team.

Do we need a timed departure?

No, you choose a flexible daily start within twelve months of purchase.
