I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

How does the district fit into the detective walk?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Berlin leads from the TV Tower through the district to Berlin Cathedral. This gives your outing a clear connection between city places, while the investigation supplies something to discuss along the way. You have more than a single sight to visit and a common activity that continues between settings.

Make room to notice the district instead of keeping the phone at the centre of every moment. Some companions may enjoy the case most, while others want to look around. Giving both interests attention helps the walk feel shared, with the real city remaining present alongside the fictional mystery your group follows.

What does playing together involve?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Berlin is self-guided through the free Loquiz app on one phone. Up to four players can form a team and compare their ideas about the case. The device carries the game, while your group supplies the discussion and decisions as the walk continues.

Let everyone hear the instructions before settling on an answer. The person reading may already have a theory, but another companion can offer a different way to think about it. Changing who reads or explains can help all players stay involved. The investigation then becomes a shared activity rather than something one person operates while everyone else simply follows.

What helps you arrange a suitable city outing?

The detective game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. You can start whenever you like, every day, and the purchase stays valid for twelve months. Choose a suitable date with your companions and have the free Loquiz app ready on the phone you will share.

Talk beforehand about whether the game is the main activity or part of a longer visit. Time spent separately at individual sights sits alongside the game duration. A shared expectation makes the outing easier to enjoy, leaving space to take in the district and the other places while continuing the case your team has chosen to solve together.

Does the detective route pass through the district?

Yes, it connects the TV Tower and Berlin Cathedral through the district.

How many people can share the game?

Up to four players use one team phone.

Do we play without an app?

This detective game uses the free Loquiz app.

Can we pick the day ourselves?

Yes, with flexible daily starts and twelve months of validity.
