City Game Bali Melukat

Melukat

Melukat is one of the most well-known traditional Balinese ritual which focuses on self-cleaning and purification. The Hindus of Bali have continued to perform this ritual throughout history, but anyone can execute this ceremony. You can try Melukat if you want to refresh your spirit and get rid of the negative vibrations. There are various locations for Melukat in Bali, including Sudamala Bangli, Pura Tirta Empul and Tampak Siring Gianyar.

Ngaben

The Hindus of Bali practice a cremation ritual known as Ngaben, which they see as a ritual for returning the deceased back to the Creator. Both locals and visitors enjoy this traditional ceremony because the parade in Ngaben also features many sorts of entertainment, such as traditional dances.

Additionally, Ngaben must be celebrated with feelings of joy and happiness;  there should not be an element of sadness, as the Balinese believe that this will prevent the spirit from moving on to their next life. There is no established schedule for Ngaben, but you might get the chance to see a large Ngaben ceremony in Ubud, the heart of culture in Bali.

Nyepi

Nyepi is a day of silence, fasting and meditation for the Balinese which typically falls in March. Although it is forbidden to leave the house during Nyepi, this is actually a fantastic time to immerse yourself in authentic Balinese culture. It is the day where you can experience inner peace and engage in the treasured practice of silence.
