Rijksmuseum Twenthe
This Museum was founded in Enschede, in 1927 by the textile baron Jan Bernard van Heek. He gave his own private collection and the museum building to the government, thus making it a national museum. The museum is located in the Roombeek neighborhood, a 10-minute walk northeast of the railroad station.

Is a church on the Oude Markt in the Dutch city of Enschede. The Jacobusparochie is best known as a parish where Alphons Ariëns worked as a chaplain. In his memory, the “Ariënsgedachtenis celebration” is held here every year in November.From early 2012 until September 2014, the church had the function of “Eucharistic Center” for the city parish.
Grote Kerk. Enschede
The Grote Kerk is a church building on the Oude Markt in Enschede. The original church dates back to the Middle Ages, but underwent major changes in the 19th century. The north wall, the oldest part, dates from around 1200 and is built of bentheimer sandstone, as are all the walls and floors. The four lower sections of the tower date from the 13th century.
